Two Freeware Photo Editing Softwares that I'm Using

Just to share two of the best freeware photo editing softwares that I have been using for quite some time now.. I found out about this about a year ago when I wanted to remove those red eyes from some of the photo's I took on our New Years party.. The default photo editor don't have these function so I went surfing on the net for Photoshop download. Then I thought why don't I search for free photoshop download, but then the free download links are all broken.. So I searched for freeware photo editing software then 3 or 4 links about one software appeared on my search page. The software was Paint.Net. I don't know if this is true but I read a forum post somewhere that Paint. Net was written by the sofware developers of microsoft? Don't know about that. All Iknow is that this software is as good as those commercial ones.. There are also a lot of plugins available written by users as well as the developers..

Another one is Gimp.. The console is pretty much like Adobe Photoshop.. The good thing abouy this is it's free, and with lots of plugins too..

Both have functions and capabilities of the popular commercial photo editing softwares only these are free.. Commercial photo editing software offers more functions but you won't be needing all of those extras if you just want some basic functions and a few extras like me. So I think It's a waste of money to buy those commercial ones..
